Islamabad: 05 Oct 2022 – H.E Mr. Jemal Beker Abdula , Ambassador of the Republic Democratic Republic of Ethiopia called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, here at his office in Islamabad today.
During meeting, the Minister for Defence highlighted that Pakistan considers Ethiopia a close friend and an important country in the region.He said that Pakistan intends to establish meaningful defence ties with Ethiopia and is focused on enhanced defence, military and intelligence cooperation.
He mentioned Pakistan’s recent contribution to assist Ethiopia Against the Vote on EU-Sponsored Resolution at UNHRC related to Human Rights Violations by Ethiopia.
The visiting dignitary thanked the Minister and acknowledged the present scale of cooperation between two countries. He showed resolve to cooperate and collaborate further in the field of defence
