Pakistan Kazakhstan Discuss Military to Military Cooperation

Islamabad, 5 October 2022 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin met Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Defense Minister of Pakistan. The parties discussed the prospects for further development of cooperation in the military and military-technical fields.
They noted the significant potential in the above-mentioned areas and in general in terms of development and diversification of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
As a result of the meeting, both sides reached an agreement on a regular dialogue and exchange of information.
 Minister of Defence stated that Pakistan values it’s close friendly relations with Kazakhstan which are based on immense mutual goodwill and understanding to bring the two countries further close to each other.
He highlighted that Kazakhstan because of its geographic location and its abundant resources, is a key Central Asian State and also an important player on the international stage as well. Moreover, Minister for Defence said that Pakistan would like Kazakhstan to use its road-links and ports for trade including Gwadar Port. Kazakhstan’s trade could greatly benefit from these facilities.
The visiting dignitary acknowledged the existing scope and scale of cooperation and desired further cooperation and collaboration in the field of defence
