Amman/ Jordan : 05 Aug 2026 – Bilateral meeting between the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Dar in Amman (Jordan) .
On the occasion of his participation in the ministerial meeting “In Support of Jerusalem and its Holy Sites” of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to confront illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
During this meeting, the two ministers reviewed the state of Algerian-Pakistani relations and agreed to redouble efforts to strengthen them in all areas by activating bilateral cooperation frameworks as soon as possible.
At the international and regional levels, the two sides discussed various current issues of common interest, particularly the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip, in addition to Pakistan’s mediation efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East.
According to MOFA Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 met with H.E. Ahmad Attaf, Foreign Minister of Algeria, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem in Amman today.
The two leaders discussed Pakistan-Algeria bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, information technology, agriculture, and other areas of mutual interest. Appreciating their regular exchanges, the two Foreign Ministers agreed to remain closely engaged to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Exchanging views on regional and international developments, including the situation in Occupied East Jerusalem and recent developments relating to Iran, Foreign Minister Attaf appreciated Pakistan’s continued constructive role and diplomatic efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region.
