Islamabad: The Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights condemns the targeting by the Houthi terrorist militia of the overcrowded Al-Matar neighborhood in the city of Marib, with a ballistic missile, which, according to preliminary information received from hospitals and the local authority, resulted in 28 casualties, including 5 children and 2 women, including at least 5 deaths.
The Ministry also condemns the militias’ targeting of a house in the village of Al-Habil in the Jabal Habashi district of Taiz governorate, with a mortar shell, which led to the death of the wife of the citizen Abdul Salam Ahmed Ghaleb, and the injury of his sister, who are still under intensive care, in addition to the burning of the house completely. Also the burning of another house in Taiz city due to shelling, and many other continuous and deliberate operations against civilians.
We also condemn the huge number of mines that are being planted by the Houthi militia in the recently liberated areas, in an alarming way in most places, and planting of mines under the bodies of the dead in order to inflict more casualties if anyone trying to approach the body or bury it, in continuation of the militia’s approach to using civilians, dead bodies, and civilian objects, to continue the war that they ignited.
The continuous targeting of civilians by terrorists and destruction Houthis militia using internationally banned weapons for nearly 7, confirms that the militia used terrorism in the devastating war that they are waging against Yemeni people, which requires all Human rights organizations, agencies and bodies to assume their responsibilities towards Houthis terrorism.
The Ministry calls on the United Nation and the international community to assume their responsibility for the growing Houthi terrorism against civilians, a designate Houthis as a terrorist group, and to impose more sanctions against their leaders who are involved in committing these crimes, and to protect civilians from their sinful evils.
