Donald Trump announced in a social media post on Tuesday that he was indefinitely extending a ceasefire with Iran at the request of Pakistan, which has been mediating talks, until the results of negotiations are known.
Iran had not requested an extension of the ceasefire, and Trump’s announcement of an extension of the ceasefire indefinitely could have several meanings:
1- The first meaning is that Trump has lost the war. He had tested and implemented all possible scenarios during the war.
Trump knows that he will achieve nothing through war, so he considers exiting the war as the best possible way for himself. Even if he continues the war with a foolish decision, he will not achieve anything.
2- Although the war had no achievement for the US, Trump may do everything, including deception through every possible means, among them the extension of the ceasefire. Trump may claim to extend the ceasefire, but then the same terrorist administration of the US or its regional rabid dog (Israel), may carry out terrorist moves.
Information obtained by Tasnim indicates that the Iranian officials are closely monitoring such a possibility and Iran does not underestimate such scenario.
3- Another possibility is that the US will withdraw from the war and Israel will remain in this war under the pretext of violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon!
However, Americans have previously been warned that the US cannot unilaterally escape from the war and keep Israel in the fight.
4- A continued naval blockade means the continuation of hostilities; Iran will not open the Strait of Hormuz at least as long as the naval blockade remains in place, and will break the blockade by force if necessary.
5 The United States seeks to keep the shadow of war over Iran and keep Iran’s economy and politics in suspension.
The United States believes that the situation in Iran is the same as the situation after the 12-day war. However, the current period has a fundamental difference, and that is Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz. If America wants to maintain the shadow of war, it should know that the Strait of Hormuz will remain completely closed.
Iran’s decision not to be in Pakistan on Wednesday finalized @ Midnight
Despite all rumors released by the media and American officials, the Iranian negotiating team has informed the American side through a Pakistani mediator that it will not be in Islamabad, Pakistan on Wednesday, for various reasons and there is currently no prospect for participating in the negotiations.
Relevant sources believe that the reason for the absence of the Iranian negotiators in Pakistan is that after Pakistan entered into mediation and the request made by the American side for a ceasefire, Iran accepted this ceasefire and the subsequent negotiations in a bid to end the war based on the 10-point framework it had presented and which was accepted by the United States.
Pakistan also specifically announced the acceptance of this framework by the Americans. But immediately after that, the American side started breaching commitments in the following days.
The American side, in a complete violation of its commitments, refused to force Israelis into a ceasefire in Lebanon and the move created serious obstacles in the negotiations for several days.
Also, in the very first round of negotiations in Islamabad, the Americans made many excessive demands that were in fact violations of those initial frameworks for talks, and this issue completely led to a deadlock in the first round of negotiations.
Despite its failure in the battlefield, the United States thought that it could compensate for the failure in the war by making excessive demands in the negotiations.

However, a few days after the Islamabad negotiations, the United States was forced to implement the ceasefire in Lebanon due to Iran’s clear threat to conduct missile attacks on Israel.
After those developments, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that Iran would also open the Strait of Hormuz to commercial ships based on the initial framework of the ceasefire and within the framework of that initial agreed framework.
However, the Iranian move was immediately followed by hostile action by the Americans in keeping the naval blockade on Iran.
In the messages exchanged over the past few days, the Americans did not back down from their excessive demands and those demands were against the rights of the Iranian people, and no meaningful progress was made in the messages exchanged between the two sides.
For that reason, Iran finally announced today that in such conditions, Tehran considers attending the talks (in Pakistan) “a waste of time” because the US is hindering any proper agreement. Therefore, “Iran will not join the American show.”
The decision has also been announced today through the Pakistanis and Iran will not be present in Pakistan Wednesday in an effort to fully protect the rights of its people.
Prime Minister Pakistan shared on his X ;
On my personal behalf and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I sincerely thank President Trump for graciously accepting our request to extend the ceasefire to allow ongoing diplomatic efforts to take their course.
With the trust and confidence reposed in, Pakistan shall continue its earnest efforts for negotiated settlement of conflict.
I sincerely hope that both sides will continue to observe the ceasefire and be able to conclude a comprehensive ‘Peace Deal’ during the second round of talks scheduled at Islamabad for a permanent end to the conflict.
