Kazakh Women Team Number 1 in “2021 COAS Pakistan Open Taekwondo Championship”

Islamabad, November 9, 2021 – Kazakhstan women’s taekwondo team took part in the International Taekwondo Tournament “2021 COAS Pakistan Open Taekwondo Championship” in Islamabad. From the Kazakh side, seven athletes took part in the competition under the leadership of Saule Sardarova.

In the overall standings, the Kazakh team took first place, winning 6 gold and one silver medal. Ms. Sardarova was recognized as the best coach and our athlete Ms. Denis Cansel was recognized as the best fighter.

Kazakhstan’s Aidana Yedilbayeva (46kg), Nurai Baurzhanova (49kg), Zhadyra Khairullina (62kg), Nurai Khusainova (67kg), Deniz Cancel (73kg), and Aigul Yelubai (over 73kg) claimed gold at the 2021 COAS Pakistan Open World Taekwondo Championships. Diana Absenova (62kg) settled for a silver medal.

More than 550 athletes from 15 countries took part in the tournament.
