Kazakhstan celebrates Cosmonauts’ Day in Memory of Yuri Gagarin and Talqat Musabayev

ISLAMABAD: Kazakhstan celebrates Cosmonauts Day in honor of the first human flight into space, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
It was from Kazakh soil from the Baikonur cosmodrome that he flew into space on the Vostok-1 spacecraft on April 12, 1961.
Kazakh cosmonaut Talgat Musabayev is included in the Guinness Book of Records: before him, no one had been in outer space for more than a day during one flight.
Kazakhstan’s cosmonauts are included in the list of space pioneers.
This is evidence that the Republic of Kazakhstan is making a significant contribution to the development of world astronautics.
