Kazakhstan Commemorates the Victims of Political Repression and Famine | President Reiterates Strong Resolve of Protection of Citizen Rights

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has paid tributes to the memory of all those who became victims of political repression during the first half of the last century.
Kazakhstan commemorates the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression and Famine each year on 31 May.
The leader of the state , in his statement at this occasion said, ” It is our moral duty to remember them and to remain committed to the principles of the rule of law and the values of justice.”
” Kazakhstan is consistently creating the conditions necessary to ensure the comprehensive protection of the rights and freedoms of all its citizens. This responsibility of the State has been enshrined in the Constitution adopted through a nationwide referendum on 15 March President underlined.
He added, “Our society has embarked upon the path of building a progressive state. We will be guided by the principles of justice, the rule of law, patriotism, diligence, and environmental stewardship, while also prioritizing the development of science, high technologies, culture, and volunteerism.”
“Kazakhstan has gained international recognition as a nation committed to progress in all spheres of public life. To achieve even more significant results, we must continue to strengthen unity and stability in our country. I am confident that a bright future lies ahead for our nation, President concluded.
