The Organised Crime Unit (OCU) of Model Town has arrested 12 suspects involved in the kidnapping and robbery of drama writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar. It is our system where the case of big name is solved asap while commoners have to weight for yours and that without any justice in this country. Khalil’s culprits arrested within one week of the crime. Basically it was a honey trap and Khalil himself remained in touch with Amina Urooj the model girl. Both were engaged in romantic chat on mobiles for two weeks.
Police are efficient in these cases for , first the recovery in shape of money and other precious items, items mean ornaments , mobile phones etc is expected, second the bosses and big guns appreciate the police and they are happy only because many of them are involved in the same sugar daddy , honey trap type things in their leisure time.
OCU DIG shared the arrest and other details in a press conference. The victim Khalil Qamar was also present.The arrested individuals are Amina Urooj, Mamoon Haider, Zeeshan Qayyum, Javed Iqbal, Tanveer Ahmed, Falak Sher, Qaiser Abbas, Rasheed Ahmed, Mian Khan, Babar Ali, Shamail Bibi, and Maryam Shehzadi.
DIG held the press conference that means the Police were directed from some high level to do the needful. Otherwise it was not DIG level case. The SHO of concerned Police Station was enough for that.
According to media reports from Lahore, DIG said, ” Qamar was allured to come to the place at Bahria Town for the ransom of Rs10 million. Qamar was not in a position to fulfill this demand. Therefore the suspects tortured him severely.”
DIG cutting short , omitting the important aspects of investigation, in routine of Police , said, “The swift action by the police led to the suspects’ arrest and the recovery of three vehicles used in the crime, a wireless set, modern rifles, pistols, and dozens of bullets.”
The case was registered at Sundar Police Station in Lahore on Qamar’s complaint but DIG did not mention why Qamar did not contacted police for five days and why he was in chit chat with the model girl for last two weeks and what was important in their discussion. Why a renown drama writer was always busy in texting with the struggling model who is unknown in showbiz.
The DIG disclosed that the operation to capture the suspects was aided by modern technology and IT experts.The accused withdrew money from his ATM and, and when their demands were not met, they blindfolded him and transported him to Nankana Sahib using three vehicles. They even fired shots near his head to intimidate him further.
Eventually, they abandoned him in a remote area and left his car there. The DIG also revealed that two more suspects are at large and that the group had previously targeted two other individuals. The police are currently in contact with those victims to assist them in filing complaints for legal action.Khalilur Rehman Qamar Qamar expressed his gratitude to the Lahore police for their prompt and effective action in bringing the criminals to justice.
