Khana Farhang Rawalpindi organizes Nowruz celebration

Rawalpindi: 25 March 2022 – The arrival of spring in Pakistan is celebrated in the form of Spring Festival which is celebrated during the days of Nowruz. What happened while addressing He said that suitability brings people of both the countries together. Of course, there are many cultural issues that connect the people of Iran and Pakistan which we can call common cultural roots. He further said that Pakistan and Iran have a lot in common.

Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Syed Amjad Zaidi while addressing the function said that the friendship between Pakistan and Iran is universal and ideal. Iran is our neighbor and Islamic country. He said that the friendship between Pakistan and Iran is ideal and insha-Allah this friendship will be further strengthened. He termed Nowruz as the common heritage of Iran and Gilgit-Baltistan They are beautified by coloring and they are gifted to each other. He said that polo match is also played in Gilgit-Baltistan in celebration of Nowruz and at the same time various and beautiful events are held.

Writer, columnist, Saqib Akbar  said that Nowruz is a beautiful festival which is celebrated in different parts of Pakistan from Gilgit-Baltistan to Dera Ismail Khan. He said that different parts of Pakistan should preserve their culture because that is our identity. Speaking on the occasion, Allama Haider Alvi said that Islam is a natural religion, Nowruz is also a natural process and Islam has never opposed Nowruz.

Allama Haider Alavi while congratulating the Iranian people on the New Year of Nowruz said that it is a natural process to celebrate the arrival of spring in the form of Nowruz. The only difference is that some neighboring countries including Iran and our people of Gilgit-Baltistan celebrate He also lauded the Haft Sen table which was decorated on the occasion of Nowruz celebrations and termed it as a collection of beauty.

Dr. Anbar Yasmeen, Head of Persian Department, Namal University, Dr. Razia Akbar, Teacher of Persian Language, Dr. Shagufta Yasmeen Abbasi, Danshor and Muzaffar Ali Kashmiri also presented papers on the occasion.

Kamil Baltistani recited verses from holi Quran and impressed the audience with his fascinating tilawat.  Ali Haidar’s Naat received huge applaud from the participants.

Organized by Khaneh Farhang Islamic Republic of Iran Rawalpindi, the event was attended by various political, religious, social, cultural and academic personalities of the twin cities as well as Iranian diplomats based in Islamabad
