ISLAMABAD : Coordinator to Prime Minister on Tourism Promotion , Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan has said that Pakistan is everything for us and we have to make it as strong as possible to stay safe in the situations like we are seeing in many regions of the world. He said , Pakistan needs Increase in the number of our Armed Forces because Pakistan is among the top 5 large countries in the world but the Armed Forces are 600 thousand only, while our enemy India has a military strength of more than 1.2 Million.
He was addressing to the guests at Pakistan Sweet Home Islamabad where renowned spiritual and literary personality Dr. Afshan Malik (Shehrbano) had hosted an iftar dinner for the students studying under the patronage of Zamurd Khan.
CEO Centaurus Group Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan also addressed the guests. Mohammad Naveed conducted the event and Zamurd Khan briefed the guests on the journey of Pakistan Sweet Home. Journalist Tazeen Akhtar apprised the guests about the contributions of Zamurd Khan in raising the children of terrorism hit regions of Pakistan and Dr Afshan Malik for promotion of peace through sufism and spirituality in Pakistan and at international level.
Dr. Afshan Malik is one and only spiritual personality in Pakistan who is Deputy (Khaleefah) of two big astanas of Pakistan and three worldwide known and revered seats of Islamic scholars, saints in three countries. She represents Peer of Mohra Sharif and Khawaja Ghulam Farid in Pakistan. She is Khaleefah of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani of Baghdad Iraq, Hazrat Moeen ud Din Chishti Ajmeri of Ajmer Sharif India and Mahmud Affendi Hazratli of Turkiye who is followed by President Erdogan as well.
High Commissioner of Brunei Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Ambassador of Rwanda H.E. Harerimana Fatou, Deputy Ambassador of Palestine Nader El-Turk, Counsellor of Kazakhstan Embassy Nurlan Rafkhat and many other diplomats, donors of PSH, politicians, civil society and media representatives also graced the event with their presence.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan dispelled the impression that the youth is keen to leave the country. He said, ask the youth now, if they intend to go abroad, they will answer no. He said this in the background of the latest situation around Pakistan , like in the Middle East that is the destination of most of the youth planning to move out of the country.
He said, our father and we brothers were doing business abroad but many years ago , we decided to return to our country because Pakistan is the best country in the world.
While appreciating the education and training of deserving children at Pakistan Sweet Home and at its Cadet College in Sohawa, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan shed light on the importance of strong defence for any nation to live in peace and thrive in the world.
Yasir spoke highly about the role of Pak Military for Defence of Pakistan. He recalled Operation Bunyanum Marsoos last year and recently conducted Operation Ghazb Lil Haq.
He said thanks to our brave and highly profashional armed forces , we thwarted the enemy attacks and saved our people. He said, the nation stood behind the armed forces.
He appreciated the services of Zamurd Khan in raising the needy children with shelter and education at Pakistan Sweet Homes countrywide. He admired Dr Afshan Malik for her social contributions.
Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan also addressed the guests. He appreciated the role Zamurd Khan is playing at Pakistan Sweet Home. He said, Pakistan is the best country in the world and her future is very bright as it is surving all challenges and moving forward always. Pakistan is very dear to us. That is why after having worked and seen the world, he decided to shift to his own homeland permanently.
He advised the students of Pakistan Sweet Home to work hard as there is no short cut to success. He said, no one ate the golden biscuits. Everyone eats bread. Important thing to see is , is it halal or haram? He meant to educate the next generation to earn their living through fair means.
Dr. Rashid , keeping in view that many children at Pakistan Sweet Home are single parent or orphan, said, our holy prophet (PBUH) was an orphan but he became the best personality in the whole world for all the times. Allah took great work from him to show the right path to mankind.
Addressing the children, he said, similarly , you have to bear difficulties like our holy prophet did. You may face hardships in the future but keep in mind that you have to pass through them and prove yourself.
“You are lucky that you have a caretaker like Zamurd Khan who is the pride of Pakistan for his efforts to raise you as true Pakistanis, ” Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan concluded.
Dr. Afshan Malik (Shehrbano), in her address, appreciated the role of Pakistan Sweet Home under the leadership of Zamurd Khan in the personality building of the children who otherwise might have left uneducated and exploited , increasing the number of angry Pakistanis who could easily fall victims to the terrorists’ nefarious objectives.
She emphasized the need for the promotion of sufism and spiritual awareness in the youth of the country to sensitize them about forbearance, living together, letting the others live and not indulge in crimes and anti state activities.

He explained that Zamurd Khan’s efforts to transform the children and youth of terrorism ridden regions of Pakistan into responsible qualified citizens is helpful in restoration of peace in these regions while Dr. Afshan Malik is contributing to enhancing the spirit of tolerance and harmony in the society. Sufism and education both are prerequisites for peacebuilding in the communities. This commonality in both of them brings them together and join hands for the bright and safe future of Pakistan.
