BAMAKO : Morocco and Mali have signed economic partnership agreements as part of the two countries’ Business Forum, which opened on 23 July in Bamako.
The opening ceremony of the forum, held as part of the 4th session of the Joint High Commission on Co-operation between Mali and Morocco, was attended by Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Abdoulaye Diop as well as Ministers of Industry and Trade of Mali and Morocco Moussa Alassane Diallo and Ryad Mezzour.
The 4th High-Level Joint Commission on Morocco-Mali Cooperation, which concluded Friday in Bamako under the co-chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, and Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdoulaye Diop.
The government noted that the Business Forum serves as a platform for a fruitful exchange of views, which will help the two countries achieve comprehensive economic growth, productive investment, structural economic transformation and sustainable development.
During the forum, the parties also discussed strengthening infrastructure, creating added value through the processing of raw materials, and expanding trade links.
Earlier in July, the leaders of Morocco and Benin signed 14 co-operation agreements in the fields of the economy, security and education following the seventh session of the Joint Commission on Co-operation on 21 July in Cotonou.
