The terrorists including Blochistan Liberation Army succeeded in conducting multiple attacks on civilians, uniform personnel , installations in disturbed largest province of Pakistan from the midnight of 25/ 26 August to day light on 26 killing at least 63 including police and army jawans, some sources say more than 70, most probably 74, setting ablaze 35 vehicles including trucks and loaders from Punjab and blasted a railway bridge in Bolan (Kacchi) disconnecting Quetta from the rest of the country.
Security Forces of Pakistan and Police thwarted a major attack in Lasbela district at the Bela where according to ISPR 21 terrorists were killed while 10 security forces jawans and 4 Police personnel were martyred.
Details of attacks and casualties shared by the authorities with comparison to independent local and foreign media reports :
Musa Khel – 23 civilians , travelers and truck drivers, soon after entering into Balochistan from Punjab, 35 trucks and buses burnt
Lasbela – 21 terrorists killed, 10 military including a captain 4 police jawans martyred, the largest of the attacks, which targeted vehicles on a major highway. There were two suicide attacks at FC post and a police station. One attack was conducted by a girl of age 23 only. Her name is Mahil Baloch, student of Turbat University and daughter of Hameed Baloch R/O district Gawader.

Qalat – 10 people were reported to have been killed – five police and five civilians – after a police post and a highway were attacked
Bolan (Kachhi) Railway bridge blasted disconnecting communication between Quetta with the rest of the country. 6 bodies found around that are yet to be identified
Chief Minister Balochistan and former Interior Minister , Sarfraz Bugti stated, ” No Baloch has killed No Punjab – Terrorists killed Pakistanis.”
But the matter of fact is , Punjabis are being killed continuously at the land of Balochistan and CM is failed to establish the writ of the law and governance in the province.
In April 2024, 7 young boys from Mandi Baha ud Din of Punjab were off loaded from bus in Nushki and gunned down.In May 2024, 7 barbars were killed while sleeping in Gawader.
BLA has accepted the responsibility of Musa Khel attack only.
In a statement from BLA in this regard said that the people had been warned to remain away from the highways. BLA said that the target were military personnel in civil clothes but the local police officials and concerned officials of the province and interior ministry of Pakistan reject this statement. They have shared that the victims were civilians and they were killed after checking their IDs.
Hawaldar Abdul Ghufoor of Chauk Sarwar district Pakpattan was among the unfortunate travelers from Punjab. He was traveling with his wife and children when the terrorists took him along with others off their bus and the driver rushed the bus at once from the scene. His wife now a widow and his kids now orphans can be seen in the picture.
The widow shares with the media that as soon as the terrorists stopped the bus, the conductor collected the ID cards from the male passengers and handed them over to the terrorists. The bus driver left them in a masjid away from the deadly spot. They spent the night there and the next day military reached there to rescue them.
ISPR noted that on behest of inimical and hostile forces, these cowardly acts of terrorism were aimed at disrupting the peaceful environment and development of Balochistan by targeting mainly the innocent civilians, especially in Musa Khel, Qalat and Labela Districts. Resultantly, numerous innocent civilians embraced shahadat.
In Musa Khel District, terrorists stopped a bus in general area Rara Sham and maliciously targeted 23 innocent citizens from Punjab , working in Balochistan to earn their livelihood.
Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies immediately responded and successfully thwarted the evil design of terrorists and sent twenty-one terrorists to hell in ensuing clearance operations, ensuring security and protection of local populace.

—————————————————————————————————————– ISPR shared that during the conduct of operations, 14 brave sons of soil including 10 Security Forces soldiers and 4 personnel of law enforcement agencies, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.
Sanitization operations are being conducted and the instigators, perpetrators, facilitators and abettors of these heinous and cowardly acts, targeting innocent civilians, will be brought to justice.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
Who are behind the attacks ?
1- Certainly terrorists funded by hostile intelligence agencies. It is a combination of interests. India is the first as her serving officer Kulbhushan was arrested red handed in 2016 in Balochistan.
2- Afghanistan, though not directly but it has safe heavens of the terrorists of BLA, TTP.
3- Angry elements, the relatives who carry weapons to take revenge of their brothers, fathers, sons who are missing and they blame security forces of Pakistan for that.

4- Internal forces? Pakistani military chief has initiated anti smuggling campaign in this province. Smuggling from Iran only is worth 4 Billion Dollar. The smuggling mafia has its deep roots in the system.
5- Iran has improved the situation with Pakistan after their bilateral surgical strikes on terrorists hiding in their respective territories along the border. Both sides rule out the presence at their lands.
6- A network that is being discussed largely in Pakistani media related to a former high official.
