ISLAMABAD: The issue of illegal issuance of Pakistani identity cards to Afghan citizens is being investigated by FIA. Assistant Director NADRA, Najeeb Ullah has been arrested on cancellation of pre-arrest bail.
Accused Najeebullah was posted as Assistant Director NADRA Office Blue Area. A case was registered against the accused in Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad.
The arrested accused was involved in illegally issuing identity cards to Afghan citizens.He issued NADRA identity cards to Afghan citizens for Rs 250,000 per person.
The bail of the accused was canceled by the Special Judge Central Islamabad before his arrest. Raids are being conducted to arrest other accomplices as well.
