Light to moderate rain is expected in western parts of Balochistan. Light to moderate Rain-wind / thunderstorm (snowfall over hills) is expected in GB, Kashmir and Pothohar region
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country
8th March to 10th March
Cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country, with rainfall in isolated places in Central and Southern Punjab while moderate snowfall is expected in northern parts of Pakistan
10th March to 12th March
Rain-wind / thunderstorm is expected in southern and northern parts of Balochistan i.e. Ketch, Gwadar, Lasbella, Quetta, Kalat and Khuzdar
Rain-wind / thunderstorm is expected in western / upper parts of KPand Kashmir. Dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country
Possible Impacts
Landslide: Likely Landslides in Upper KP, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir and GB may occur in the vulnerable points of the area – Tourists are advised not to travel unnecessarily
Snowfall: Moderate to Heavy snowfall is expected in Northern Parts of KP i.e. Shangla, Malam Jabba, Dir Upper, Chitral, Gilgit Baltistan, AJ&K and some parts of Balochistan – Snowfall may cause temporary closure of roads
Urban and Flash Flooding: Likely flash flooding is expected in streams and nullah’s of upper catchment areas i.e. Swat, Upper Dir, Upper Kohistan, Chitral, Hunza and Quetta, Chagai and Kech in Balochistan
Moderate rainfalls is also likely to create urban flooding in Gwadar, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Kalat and Killa Abdullah
