NRP and Offit Kurman Launch B2B Linkages Services for Pakistani Businesses Intending to Work in USA

Pakistan and American business ventures , startups will no more wander for a right connection in between now when the renown experts from both countries are available to facilitate. The Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs), based in Washington can be approached for guidelines, consultancy and a complete service including legal affairs to establish a joint business or partnership between the companies of two countries.

Mr. Imran Shauket is representing NRP’s Governing Council in Islamabad Pakistan who arranged a networking session for Mr. Mo Ali Syed , Principal of Offit-Kurman which is ranked in the top 200 law firms in the US with 280 attorneys and 18 offices in 9 states.

Imran gathered notables from government, diplomatic circles, political side, health and agriculture sectors, business community, media persons in the Golf Course Dining Room of Islamabad Club on 07 Jan to welcome and introduce Mr. Mo Ali Syed on a sumptuous dinner.

Representatives of World Bank and Special Investment Facilitation Council SIFC, Women Chamber of Commerce and Overseas Employment sector were also present.
Imran Shauket, in his introductory remarks, shed light on what is Offit-Kurman? what they offer? and how their service can be used?. He spoke highly about the role of Non-Resident Pakistanis in the economy of their country.

” NRPs play a critical role in Pakistan’s economic development by remitting over $40 billion annually through official and unofficial channels. Further to this, the NRPs as an organization is focusing on advocacy of Pakistan in the Americas by strengthening commercial ties, investments in Pakistan from US and Canada in the social and business sector, Imran Shauket shared.

According to him, the focus is upon these areas :

1- Health Sector Development: Improving primary health care facilities, workforce training, job placement, and establishing the 1st Health Bank of Pakistan.

2- Agricultural Advancement: Launching the Kissan Micro Finance Bank to support the sustainability of the small farmers (90% of the farmers are under 5 acres), specifically the women which form 70% of the women workforce.

3- Women and Community Empowerment: Programs to uplift women and marginalized communities through innovative projects.

4- Tele-medicine Innovation: Establishing an interactive multilingual tele-medicine center to expand access to healthcare.

5- B2B Connectivity Hub: A Houston-based facility linking Pakistani and U.S. businesses for
mutual growth.

6- B2B Delegations: Support a B2B delegation from Pakistan to visit the U.S. in May 2025 to further enhance business linkages.

Mr. Mo Ali Syed is a non resident Pakistani from Lahore. He shared the information about his work and what his organization offers to set up a safe and secure business in USA in in 30+ practice areas including Banking and Finance, Business and Corporate Advisory, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mergers and Acquisitions, Nonprofit, Real Estate, etc.

NRPs are focusing on advocacy of Pakistan in the USA by strengthening commercial ties, investments in Pakistan from the US and creating B2B linkages. The launch of Pakistan Council is expected to enhance the bilateral connectivity for common development of businesses and other ventures.
