Report : Tazeen Akhtar / Pakistan especially the capital city Islamabad is all set to welcome the honorable guest from time tested iron brother People’s Republic of China. Vice Premier He Lifeng will be arriving in Islamabad today 30 July for a three-day visit on the auspicious occasion of 10 years of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, the flagship project of One Belt One Road Initiative of China. The administration of Capital Territory Islamabad has announced a holiday for two days to extend a befitting welcome to the visiting dignitary and his delegation.
Federal Ministers Rana Sana Ullah and Ahsan Iqbal welcomed the visiting dignitary at Islamabad International. Chinese Vice Premier will call on President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation.
He Lifeng has been a prominent figure in China’s international economic relations and has played a crucial role in the successful implementation of various CPEC projects in Pakistan during his tenure as Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized, in her press briefing that Vice Premier Lifeng’s visit is part of the regular high-level exchanges and dialogues between Pakistan and China. It reflects the continued commitment of both countries to strengthen their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
