ISLAMABAD : The Managing Director, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), Mr. Aftab Ur Rehman Rana, attended the Annual General Meeting and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected leadership and Executive Members of the Pakistan Association of Tour Operators (PATO) as Chief Guest.
PATO, a representative platform for Pakistan’s tour operators, plays an important role in connecting the private tourism industry with national tourism development efforts and promoting professional tourism services.
Addressing the gathering, the MD PTDC appreciated the contributions of the outgoing leadership and congratulated PATO on the smooth transition, while extending his best wishes to the newly elected leadership and Executive Members.
He highlighted the vital role of tour operators and tour guides in shaping visitor experiences and strengthening Pakistan’s tourism ecosystem. He also shared PTDC’s ongoing initiatives for tourism development and emphasized the need for collective efforts in the era of AI, digital innovation, responsible tourism and sustainable tourism development.
The MD PTDC also took the oath from the newly elected Executive Members and presented tokens of appreciation to the outgoing members in recognition of their contributions.
PTDC reaffirms its commitment to working closely with PATO and all public and private-sector stakeholders to advance sustainable, inclusive and sustainable tourism development in Pakistan.
