Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s Humanitarian Efforts Appreciated by Standing Committee of National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: The Director General of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Dr. Zeeshan Danish, effectively represented the organization before the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, highlighting PBM’s pivotal role in responding to flood-affected areas across Pakistan. Despite limited mandate and resources, PBM’s tireless and unconditional efforts led by Senator Capt. Managing Director Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, have been exemplary.

The Committee, chaired by Mr. Meer Ghulam Ali Talpur, commended PBM’s contributions, particularly in providing:

– about 80,000 packs of meals
– 15 large vehicles for relief operations
– Rescue operations for humans and animals
– Ration bags, medicine boxes, and clothing distribution
– Recent plans for distributing 200,000 kg of dates and animal feed

The Committee also appreciated PBM’s support in healthcare and education, especially for cancer patients and university students.

Request for Increased Funding Approved by the Standing Committee

Impressed by PBM’s commitment, the Standing Committee agreed to increase funding and asked MD PBM to submit a detailed summary for supporting vulnerable communities.

Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, MD PBM, expressed gratitude to the Committee and promised to maintain a fair and transparent system, ensuring maximum support reaches the needy and poor populations of Pakistan.

This achievement underscores PBM’s dedication and sincere efforts of the Team of Capt. Butt to serving humanity and its potential to make a meaningful impact with increased support.
