Islamabad – Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Mr Furqatbek Akhmed Sidiq had a farewell meeting with Mr. Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi,Minister of Foreign Affairs today on June 4, 2020 on the occasion of completion of his assignment as Ambassador .
Both sides openly and very friendly discussed the outcomes of the raise of Uzbek-Pak political, economic and cultural relations during his mission. They also discussed the perspectives of further enhancing bilateral ties as well as interactive events and visits aimed at cementing their Brotherly cooperation.
Ambassador said that Uzbekistan became largest trade partner of Pakistan in Central Asia and we are keen to further increase this relationship, as well as cooperation in inter regional connectivity.
Mr. Furqat expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry for sincere support in performance of his assignment activity towards development of the relations between two countries.
Ambassador said “Pakistan is my second home and I will always keep in my heart pure Pakistani kindness, sincerity, strong friendship, rich culture and faith. I always remain a true friend of Pakistan and I express my thankfulness to my Pakistani Brothers and Sisters who were always with me and rendered strong support towards development of Pakistan-Uzbekistan Fraternal relations.
Mr Shah Mahmood Qureshi congratulated the Ambassador on his new assignment as Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan. He appreciated Mr Furqat’s efforts in enhancing the mutual cooperation in trade, economy,defense, culture and other important sectors.
