ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy (PN) and Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) successfully concluded bilateral maritime exercise NASEEM AL BAHR-XV, with a display of live weapon firing in North Arabian Sea on 15 Feb 2025. Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, was also present on the occasion.
PNS ZULFIQUAR along with RSNF Ships HMS JAZAN, HMS AL YARMOOK and HMS HAIL fired variety of Surface to Surface and Surface to Air missiles. All PN and RSNF Ships successfully engaged their respective targets demonstrating their combat readiness and war fighting potential.
Exercise NASEEM AL BAHR-XV featured advance maritime operations, and the participating assets of both navies executed diverse range of complex scenarios including joint maneuvers, Anti-Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare and integrated Martime Security Operations.
The exercise provided an opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation, enhance interoperability and demonstrate a shared commitment to ensure maritime security. While recently concluded AMAN 25 demonstrated the soft power, Live Weapon Firing during NASEEM AL BAHR-XV testified Pakistan Navy’s combat fire power.
Exercise NASEEM AL BAHR is a biennial operational exercise that reinforces the strategic partnership between Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces, reflecting their unwavering resolve to safeguard mutual maritime interests.
PAKISTAN NAVY AND ROYAL SAUDI NAVAL FORCES BILATERAL EXERCISE “AFFAA AL SAHEL VII” CONCLUDES AT KARACHI
On 19 February, The bilateral training exercise Affaa Al Sahel VII between the Special Operations Forces (SOFs) of Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) and Special Service Group of Pakistan Navy [SSG (N)] concluded with a high-intensity Final Test Exercise (FTX). Commander Coast, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin, along with senior military officials from both sides, witnessed the exercise.
During the exercise, RSNF SOFs and SSG (N) teams demonstrated advanced tactics and drills, including joint live-fire exercises, precision raid operations, and dynamic rappelling maneuvers in a simulated high-threat environment.
The drills focused on counterterrorism response, hostage rescue scenarios, and coordinated maritime interventions, highlighting their ability to operate seamlessly under high-pressure situations.
The successful conduct of Affaa Al Sahel VII reflects the growing cooperation between the RSNF and Pakistan Navy. The joint exercise aimed to enhance interoperability and tactical proficiency, further strengthening the capabilities of SOFs in addressing common maritime security challenges.
