Pakistan Women Shine @ 43rd UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand 2025

    Samarkand / Uzbekistan : Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Head of Delegation from Pakistan, represented the country at the 43rd UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand 2025, along with senior officials from Pakistan.
    Overall Pakistani women were shining in Samarkand as Ambassador of Pakistan to France Ms Mumtaz Zahra Baloch was also there. Another lady Nazia Perveen Sudhan was also prominent who belongs to administrative service of Pakistan. They made a unique group of women and held important meetings at the sidelines. 
    The Pakistani delegation engaged in key discussions on global priorities in education, science, culture, and communication. Their participation highlights Pakistan’s active role in promoting inclusive education, cultural preservation, innovation, and sustainable development in line with UNESCO’s vision.
    This conference provides a valuable platform for Pakistan to strengthen partnerships, exchange experiences, and advocate for equitable access to knowledge and opportunities worldwide.
    Ms. Wajiha Qamar, met with Norway’s Minister of Education, Ms. Kari Nessa Nordtun.
    The two ministers discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, with a focus on digital learning, teacher training, technical and vocational education, and inclusive access for all learners.
    She highlighted Pakistan’s education reforms aimed at improving quality, equity, and skills development, while underscoring the importance of international partnerships in achieving shared goals under SDG-4 on quality education.
    Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting inclusive, innovative, and sustainable education systems through continued collaboration within UNESCO’s framework.
    Minister met with H.E. Mrs. Lolwa bint Rashid Al-Khater, Minister of Education, Learning and Higher Education of the State of Qatar.
    Both leaders discussed strengthening educational cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar, focusing on the use of technology and innovation in education, development of students’ future skills, and exchange of expertise through joint training and academic programs.
    Ms. Wajiha Qamar highlighted Pakistan’s education reforms aimed at promoting inclusive, technology-driven learning and appreciated Qatar’s commitment to advancing innovation in education. The two ministers agreed to deepen collaboration to support knowledge exchange, teacher training, and youth skill development.
    The meeting reaffirmed the shared vision of Pakistan and Qatar to foster educational excellence, cultural understanding, and sustainable progress through mutual cooperation within the UNESCO framework.
    H.E. Ms. Wajiha Qamar,  met with H.E. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin, Minister of National Education of Türkiye.
    Both ministers discussed strengthening cooperation in teacher training, technical education, digital learning, and academic exchange, reaffirming the deep educational partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye.
    In meeting with H.E. Dr. Hossein Simaee, Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran,both sides discussed strengthening cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and technology, reaffirming their shared commitment to innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development.
