ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns in the strongest terms all the measures and procedures of the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem in general and in the vicinity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in order to prevent and obstruct the arrival of worshipers to the mosque, including installing iron barriers on 3 doors of the mosque, in an attempt to introduce more changes to the historical and legal reality.
And the political presence in the Holy Mosque, in a flagrant violation of international law and the obligations of the occupying power towards places of worship and the freedom of citizens’ access to them, and in a continuing assault on the powers of the Jerusalem Endowments Administration and the affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sanctities, which has exclusive jurisdiction to manage the affairs of the Holy Mosque.
The Ministry calls for urgent international intervention to stop the occupation’s encroachment on Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities and its grave violations of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
