President Azerbaijan Appoints Ali Alizade Ambassador to Iran & Permanent Representative to E.C.O

Islamabad; Ambassador Ali Alizade has been appointed  Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Iran and at the same time the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the Economic Cooperation Organization.

“I will do all my efforts to justify this trust and contribute to strengthening of our friendly relations. I am very grateful to Mr. President for confidence and trust.” Said Ali Alizade in a statement.

Previously Ambassador Ali Alizade completed his tenure as Ambassador to Pakistan. During his appointment in Pakistan, he served for increasing bilateral relations to the maximum level. He developed close and cordial contacts with different segments of society and key position holders in government and military circles of Pakistan.

Iran is challenging task for him but he is expected to prove his abilities there as well. His personal characteristics of socializing and welcoming for all can prove him equal to the task.

The relations between Azerbaijan and Iran need trust, more than everything else. Iran’s role during recent aggression of Armenia on Azerbaijan was discussed by international journalists as complicated.

At E.C.O , he will find a vast field to play where almost all countries are at good terms with Azerbaijan, including Pakistan, Turkey and Central Asian Republics. In this position, the most pleasant thing for his Pakistani friends is, he still has a connection with Pakistan as member state of E.C.O.
