ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif arrived Baku on the night of 11 Nov to attend COP29 being hosted by Azerbaijan in the capital Baku. President Ilham Aliyev had invited him during his visit to Pakistan.
At the airport, Ambassador Khazar Nader Oglu Farhadov alongwith high officials of government of Azerbaijan welcomed the Prime Minister. DPM/FM Ishaq Dar is also accompanying the Prime Minister.
PM Shehbaz , today on 12 Nov will address the participants of the conference. He will have bilateral meetings with President Ilham Aliyev, Secretary General UN. Meetings with Prime Ministers of Denmark and Czech Republic are also scheduled.
PM will have a meeting with President Tajikistan on the issue of conserving the Glaciers. Pakistan will host roundtable on climate actions financing.
