ISLAMABAD: 02 Oct 2024 – Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim arrived Islamabad tonight in the start of his 3 days official visit to Pakistan. His arrival is the beginning of a new chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia bilateral relations.
On the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Malaysia arrived in Pakistan on his 3-day official visit. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim upon his arrival at Noor Khan Base.
On arrival in Islamabad, the troops of Pakistan Army saluted the Prime Minister of Malaysia. A 21-gun salute was given to the guest. Children dressed in traditional clothes presented flowers to the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar also participated in the reception along with the Prime Minister.
Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim will meet with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during the visit He will also meet the President of the country Asif Ali Zardari.
During the visit, discussions on the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia and important progress will be made regarding the partnership between the two countries.
A delegation of high-level businessmen and investors also arrived in Pakistan along with the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The delegation will meet Pakistani businessmen and investors, which will promote trade and investment between the two countries.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia will also participate in the Pakistan-Malaysia Business Forum for cooperation in trade and investment between the two countries.
