Why Pakistan is facing the poorest financial phase in the history of this unfortunate nation can be better seen how the bureaucracy is looting the Poorest Person of this country. A federal secretary grabs another post after retirement and thus fetches pension from one side and salary from the other. And salary is not according to the post but enjoys more than double of the due perks and privileges. The minister and secretary incharg both know better but do nothing.
Ms Rabia Javeri Aagha is receiving more than double of her package for last one year. The matter is on the table of the minister and the secretary but no one is ready to stop the loot of the public money. She is not a justice but getting the salary and privileges of a justice tricking with a letter of Prime Minister secretariat.
Ms Rabia succeeded in grabbing another post of Chairperson National Commission Human Rights under the ministry of human rights after her retirement from the post of secretary of the same ministry. She is so influential in power corridors that another seat was ready for her in the ministry soon after her retirement.
Actually this post is MP 1 post but Ms Rabia is paid like she is a Justice of a high court. The difference of salary and privileges between a justice and MP 1 officer is more than 6 hundred thousand PKR. Other benefits that Ms Rabia is enjoying without justification as a justice include 500 liter petrol, all utility bills and the servants at home. She is fetching this since one year. Therefore she has received millions of PKR extra than her legal package as MP 1.
The definition of Public Money is ” The money derived from the Poorest person of the country.” Ms Rabia Javeri Aagha, therefore , is looting the poorest of this country for last one year. In other words ” The care taker of human rights in Pakistan is filling her own pocket without any right.”
The champion of human rights herself violated the right of the officers in line of seniority and the life time workers of human rights to qualify for the post but she selected herself for the post while she was already the secretary of the same parent ministry. She is also violating the rights of the poor of this country that their hardly earned money should not be spent on the luxuries of the retired officers who not only have earned a lot from their service but also getting heavy pension as well.
