Federal Minister Religious and Minority Affairs Pir Noor ul Haqq Qadri has said that forced marriages and forced conversion cases are very rare as compared to they are propagated in our country. Ramaish Kumar (Defected PTI MNA) wanted to be appointed as Chairman of Hindu Properties Board but Prime Minister refused because his reputation is not satisfactory.Our ministry is digitizing the Evacuee properties’ information to finish the corruption in this sector.
The Minister shared this in a meeting with editor Tazeen Akhtar the other day at the residence of Mateen Khan , a business person.
” In a case, Sikh Girl herself asked Muslim boy to marry her. She herself decided to convert because Muslims can not marry Sikhs.In another case of so called forced marriage and conversion of a christian girl, We found that the boy himself is a christian and both married with their own wish and will.” Said Minister.
Pir Noor ul Haqq Qadri said “Ministry of religious affairs will release our findings in forced marriages and conversion cases to make it clear that it is not a general phenomenon that is propagated only to malign Pakistan in western countries.”
Regarding Ramaish Kumar, MNA on reserved minority seat, the Minister explained “He came to my office and said that Prime Minister has assured me of posting as chairman Hindu properties board.I told him that Prime Minister has not issued me any instruction in this regard.”
Prime Minister shared with me that Ramaish Kumar’s repute in financial matters is not good that is why Prime Minister made it clear that he will not be posted as chairman.That is the reason of his defection against the Prime Minister who made him MNA.”
Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the Prime Minister takes his own decisions and no one knows about it before the Prime Minister himself tells it. He said that the Prime Minister knows politics better than anyone else in the political arena of the country.
He said that the ministry was digitizing the records of Waqf properties. We have digitized more than 150,000 kanals of land records online. Information about its value and revenue potential is now available online. This will prevent forgery of records and help reduce corruption in the handling of these properties.
