Ambassador of Russian Federation in Islamabad Mr. Albert P. Khorev has made it clear that his country has no design against nor has any intention of attack on European countries , But…… any adventure as part of their (EU) propaganda against Russia will be responded with full force that Russia is well prepared and well equipped with. Russia has latest non nuclear weapons, drones and jets to strike back.
Addressing a press conference at the embassy on 11 Dec , Ambassador apprised the journalists on latest situation on war with Ukraine and developments on so called Peace Plan of President Trump, certainly from Russian point of view.
Ambassador expressed his gratitude to Pakistan on its stand on the conflict. He said, ” We are thankful to Pakistan for following a neutral policy despite foreign pressures. Pakistan’s firm stance is in line with Russian view that the conflict should be resolved throug diplomatic means.”
In his words , “I would like to thank the Government of Pakistan once again for its consistent policy of neutrality in the Ukraine conflict, including at the UN, despite pressure from external forces.”
Ambassador of Russia expressed concern on tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He said , terrorism is a common challenge. We wish that the two countries solve the issue throug diplomatic means.
On Peace Plan, Mr. Khorev said, the dialogue is continued and Russia prefers a long term solution , not a time pass only. There were some changed in the proposed plan and Russia has not recieved the final draft of plan so far.
Ambassador outlined four basic points where Russia will not compromise ;
1- Safety of the Russian population in East Ukraine and their rights be secured
2- Freedom to speak Russian , No Ban on the language
3- Freedom to practice religeon
4- Ukraine’s NATO membership unacceptable
Mr. Khorev said, The western countries always look at (what they say) the third world with the same colonial mindset.
This scribe asked question on Colonialism that still is present in the world. To the question that Algeria hosted international conference on Crimes of Colonization and called on the colonial powers to return the assets they looted from the colonies and apologize for their crimes, also colonization be declared crime in International Law. What role Russia can play in this regard as a major country of the world?
Ambassador replied, ” Soviet Union played its central role in 1950s for colonies to get freedom. Russian Federation supports the struggle for independence in the colonies. Russia will contribute to support the demands of Algiers Declaration at every forum and level.”
To another question that, do you see Kashmir and Western Sahara are the colonies in today’s world?
Ambassador answered, the countries that are party to such disputes may resolve their issues through dialogue in peacful manner. That is our policy on such matters. Regarding Kashmir, Russia considers two agreements between the two countries to move forward to the resolution of the conflict; 1- Simla Agreement 2- Lahore Declaration.
Ambassador Albert P. Khorev was of the view that US is sincere in peace restoration but the Europe is not ready for that.
He said, “Efforts to reach a negotiated solution to the Ukrainian crisis are proving difficult. The Trump administration, acting constructively and based on the realities on the ground, faces opposition from Europeans who still seem to harbor illusions about the possibility of inflicting a “strategic defeat” on Russia.”
The West accuses Russia of kidnapping “thousands” of Ukrainian children – a claim that was proven to be completely unfounded during direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations. Russian negotiators received a list with the names of only 339 children, allegedly evacuated to Russia from the conflict zone.
Ambassador mentioned , ” The EU’s relentless attempts to invent new quasi-legal structures, such as the so-called “Register of Damage to Ukraine,” the “International Claims Commission for Ukraine,” and the “Special Tribunal for Crimes of Aggression against Ukraine.” as of no use. He said, any decisions made by these bodies will be considered null and void by our country, and any actions by third countries in support of them will be perceived by Russia as a hostile move and will receive an adequate response;
Mr. Khorev claimed that European sponsors of the Kiev regime find themselves in a difficult financial situation and are actively discussing the option of seizing Russian sovereign assets held in European financial institutions. He said, there is no other word for these plans: it’s theft. Stealing Russian funds will not change the course of the conflict and will not prevent Russia from achieving the goals of the Special Military Operation, but it will lead to severe consequences for Western financial institutions and individuals responsible for the thievery.”
Ambassador hit hard the government of ukraine and used the words that are mostly not used in the press conferences. He said, “Europeans intend to continue pouring billions of dollars into the rotten, corrupt Kiev regime, which is holding on to power in Ukraine for the sake of personal enrichment. This has now become a well-known fact following the results of a recent corruption investigation in Ukraine.”
“Evidence of the embezzlement of $100 million in the Ukrainian energy sector is just the tip of the iceberg, representing only what has been proven. The dismissal of Ukrainian Ministers and Presidential Office Head Andrey Yermak are Zelensky’s attempts to shift the blame onto others. However, it is clear that all the evidence points to Zelensky himself, Ambassador continued.
He shared that the Western invasive financial measures have already had a major negative impact on the instigators themselves and on the global economy at large. They have dealt a blow to international production and supply chains. This has caused an imbalance in investment and trade flows, exacerbated the debt problem, reduced access to goods, services, finance, and technology for many countries.
“The pre-planned and deliberately instigated conflict in Ukraine has led to the definitive collapse of the Euro-Atlantic security model based on NATO, the OSCE, and the European Union. There are now growing calls for consideration of a new European, or to be more precise, Eurasian security system, Ambassador noted.
Russia is promoting the initiative to build a Eurasian security architecture based on the principle of its indivisibility and “regional solutions to regional problems” motto.
Ambassador said , our country strongly supports anti-neocolonial initiatives. On November 14, Russia hosted the second meeting of the Standing Committee of the “Forum of Supporters of the Struggle Against Modern Practices of Neocolonialism — For the Freedom of Nations!” About 30 countries from Asia, Africa, and Latin America took part in it. Representatives from Pakistan are also working with the Forum’s expert council.
He said, we support the idea of European powers joining Eurasian security initiatives. As President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized, Russia does not pose a threat to Europe and has no intention to attack European countries.
The Russian envoy said that back in 2015, at the Russia-ASEAN summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to form a greater Eurasian Partnership, which envisages a pan-continental framework for equal and mutually beneficial cooperation through the expansion of trade and economic ties and harmonization of integration processes, including those within the CIS, SCO, EAEU, ASEAN, GCC, and other groups.
