People do not want war, but unknown elements are trying to provoke conflict between the two countries – Chairperson of the SAARC Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC)

Islamabad : Chairperson of the SAARC Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC), Ms. Hina Mansab Khan, has stated that promoting harmony and mutual respect in the world, particularly in South Asia, is the need of the hour. Our civilizations, traditions, and cultures are deeply interconnected. Whether it is India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, or the Maldives — our values and cultural colors are quite similar.

She said that unfortunately, certain elements are fueling negativity and attempting to sow discord in the region, whereas our ancestors’ sacrifices and the heartbeat of our nations still echo messages of love and peace. As a nation, we must always play a positive role and work towards regional brotherhood, cooperation, and lasting peace.

Hina Mansab Khan emphasized that SAARC was deliberately sidelined under a conspiracy, despite the fact that in current regional circumstances, this organization could play a vital and effective role. Had it been kept active, it could have significantly enhanced regional development, trade cooperation, and women’s economic participation.

She further said that there are also Pakistani Muslims living in India. If war were a solution to problems, the entire world would have been in a constant state of warfare. Dialogue and diplomacy are the only true means to resolve conflicts. Pakistan itself is facing severe terrorism challenges in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and in such circumstances, India’s aggression without any evidence is highly condemnable.

The Chairperson said that the people of both nations do not want war. Some of her friends in India even reached out to inquire about her well-being, showing that mutual respect and concern still exist between the citizens of both countries. The question arises — who are these unknown elements trying to instigate conflict between the two nations?

She proposed that an immediate SAARC meeting should be convened in Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, or Bangladesh, with participation from trade delegations of all member countries, especially India and Pakistan. This would send a strong message to the world that Pakistan is taking a positive initiative for peace in the region.
