ISLAMABAD : 09 June 2026 – To commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization #SCO, Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar participated in a cake-cutting ceremony marking the SCO’s 25th Anniversary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs @ForeignOfficePk, alongside resident ambassadors of the SCO member states in Pakistan.
DPM/FM reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to multilateralism and noted that the SCO continues to serve as a vital platform for promoting peace, security, economic connectivity, and shared prosperity across Eurasia.
He extended heartfelt congratulations to the SCO family on this important milestone and expressed confidence in the Organization’s continued role in fostering regional cooperation and development.
President at the occasion were Secretary MOFA Ms Amna Baloch, Ambassadors of Pakistan who served in SCO member states and Ambassadors of Iran, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Islamabad.
Pakistan is the host country of SCO summit in 2027.
