Islamabad – Retired naval pilot Commander (R) Shawaz Baloch’s organization has developed an international app that enables individuals with speech and hearing impairments to communicate with others without their disability being a barrier.
The app, called Sign Over Keyboard, features a keyboard designed for everyday communication, allowing users to convey their thoughts and problems to relevant individuals and organizations.
The app is available for free on the Play Store for Android users and is being hailed as a revolutionary invention globally. Shawaz Baloch has vowed to continue leveraging technology to make life easier for differently-abled individuals.
Shawaz who lost his sight during service, has been working for the welfare of differently-abled and underprivileged individuals through his organization.
He heads the May Day Foundation School of Motivation and Star Gaze AI company, and is a renowned motivational speaker, author of four books, and advocate for the rights of differently-abled individuals.
He had previously suggested reserving seats in the Senate, National Assembly, and provincial assemblies for differently-abled individuals and implementing the Disability Act 2020.
He met with Federal Minister for Law and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Federal Minister for IT, Shaza Fatima, who assured him of their support
