Pakistani politics is bringing breaking news almost everyday and no day goes without creating new apprehensions of what will happen next and what is the future of democracy in this country. Political parties and leaders are at daggers drawn and the public is at a loss to understand where they can go to save their next generations as the decision makers do not look likely to do something for political stability that is a pre-requisit for a country that is at the verge of the default.
Actual situation is enough to conclude that everything is at decline. Most often the politicians only are declared failed but matter of fact is all pillars of the state are in bad condition. The state institutions are supposed to restore their repute and honor by standing with the state and constitution only rather than supporting any political party. Persons should not be the priority but Law, Constitution, Democracy must be the first priority of all decision makers.
Double standards of the state institutions are talk of not the town but the country. The citizens surrender their rights to the state institutions only with a trust and assurance that the state institutions will use their powers only to develop the state in a way where peace, stability, security and prosperity for all will prevail but here the state of the state is just creating anxiety and fear of future only among the citizens.
We survived the political confrontation at the behest of the selectors in the decade of 90s but now it is not sure that we will survive what is going on these days. Charter of Democracy CoD between two big parties was seen as an catalyst towards political stability but later another political force was created by who, everyone knows, be it an intellectual or a student of politics or a lay man even. Engineering of third force in the factories where political leaders are manufactured was meant only to keep their stake in the politics.
Remember Hollywood movies in which the scientists prepare some GIANT in the laboratory that would crush the opponents of the financier who finances the production of the GIANT. Then something wrong is happened and the GIANT is out of control of its producers. The GIANT breaks the shackles and runs into the city destructing everything in the way. We see that soon they are trying their best to Crush the Creature they have produced to Crush their rivals. Same is the state in our state now a days.
Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf will never sit silent until unless Imran Khan gets what he wants and that by hook or by crook. The GIANT that was created to crush the CoD parties is out of control. It is Crushing everything except the political opponents. The Creators most often called as Selectors find no way how to control this GIANT.
All the big guns of state institutions have their interests and stakes in the survival of this GIANT who is also privy to their weak points and top secrets. The GIANT is threatening to make them public if his desire is not fulfilled. Elimination of GIANTS is not possible now because they can not Lose a Lever that is necessary to Level the CoD parties. Keeping the GIANT alive is a must for Selectors’ own Life.
Situation for the selectors is alarming as we have seen the results of PP7 Kahoota where the Selectors were openly supporting the GIANTS candidate, who was from their own ranks and files, but lost although it was their seat.
They are Facing Fury from both sides Finding no way to Flee away from their own Follies.
