ISLAMABAD: Charge d’ Affairs, Embassy of Tajikistan, H. E. Saidjon Shafiev Ismoil called on Chairman WAPDA, Engr Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani (Retd) in his office . The matters relating to mutual cooperation in water and hydropower sectors were discussed during the meeting.
The Chairman briefed him about potential of hydel generation in Pakistan, development portfolio of WAPDA and investment opportunities in on-going as well as ready-for-construction projects.
The Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 will be held from 10 to 13 June 2024 in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. WAPDA is the water management department in Pakistan.
