Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Yusuf Sharifzoda has welcomed Pakistani investors and partners in trade , tourism and joint ventures to avail the opportunities available for them at Free Economic Zones in his country.
H.E appeared as a guest on the popular television program “Rising Pakistan” broadcast on the state-owned PTV Home channel.
During the interview, key areas of Tajikistan–Pakistan cooperation in the political, economic, trade, cultural, energy, and environmental spheres were discussed. The Ambassador emphasized that the two countries are bound by deep historical ties, shared cultural values, hospitality, respect for traditions, and a rich literary heritage.
The discussion also focused on opportunities for expanding bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation, particularly in the areas of agriculture, industry, energy, transport, logistics, tourism, and the activities of Tajikistan’s Free Economic Zones.
The strategic importance of the CASA-1000 regional energy project for strengthening energy security and enhancing economic connectivity between Central and South Asia was also highlighted.
The Ambassador further spoke about Tajikistan’s achievements since independence and the country’s international initiatives on glacier preservation, sustainable water resource management, and combating climate change, emphasizing their contribution to strengthening international cooperation.
Concluding the interview, Ambassador expressed confidence that the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Pakistan would continue to deepen and serve the interests of the peoples of both countries.
