Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan, H.E Maciej Pisarski, while addressing the guests at the concluding event of celebrations of Polish Constitution Day , won the hearts by addressing the burning issues of the world and mankind. He mentioned Gaza, Ukraine and Kashmir in his speech and thus expressed his concerns on what is going on in these places.
On May 22, Ambassador Maciej Pisarski, Mrs. Justyna Pisarska and Defense Attaché Bogdan Obuchowski hosted a grand reception at the gardens of the Embassy, in connection with the celebrations of 234th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3.
The event, commemorating the historic May 3rd Constitution, was marked by a speech from Ambassador Maciej Pisarski addressing global peace and solidarity, particularly in light of recent tragic events in Balochistan, and featured a captivating performance by the renowned Polish jazz ensemble, JAH Trio.
Among the numerous guests were representatives of the state authorities of Pakistan, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of expert and business circles, as well as numerous journalists and representatives of the local Polish community.
Ambassador H.E. Maciej Pisarski began on a somber note, strongly condemning the recent terrorist attack on schoolchildren in Khuzdar, Balochistan. “To shutter the life, future, dreams of the young ones is just beyond comprehension and condemnation. No cause can ever justify such heinous action,” he stated, urging global unity against violence targeting innocent lives.
Amid the solemn backdrop of ongoing global conflicts, Ambassador Pisarski reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to peace, lauding recent de-escalatory steps taken by Pakistan and India. “One could only hope the Russian leadership follows the example of more responsible leaders,” he added, referencing continued Polish support for Ukraine amid Russian aggression.
In his speech, Ambassador Maciej Pisarski pointed to the importance of the Constitution of 3 May in the European and international tradition of expanding the catalogue of civil rights at the expense of limiting the privileges of the government.
Today, Poland, especially in the light of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, also makes a significant contribution to the development of European integration.
The ambassador expressed his condolences over the terrorist attack on children on their way to school in Balochistan last Wednesday.
He stressed the responsibility to protect civilians in the face of growing global unrest, such as the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Gaza, and the reluctance of the Russian leadership to de-escalate and achieve a ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine.
Ambassador Pisarski also emphasized the growing dynamics of Polish-Pakistani contacts, thanks to which the dialogue between the two countries is also gaining intensity.
