The Embassy of Sultanate of Oman Celebrates 55th Glorious National Day in Islamabad

The Sultanate of Oman celebrated 55th Glorious National Day on 20th Nov 2025 worldwide and also in Islamabad where the Embassy of Oman hosted a grand reception to mark the day and let Pakistani friends participate to express their love for this beautiful state of the Middle East.

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari sent a message of felicitations to H.M the Sultan on the occasion.

The ambassador of Sultanate of Oman H.E Fahad Sulaiman Khalaf Al Kharusi welcomed the guests with his remarks as, the Sultanate celebrate its National Day on the 20th of November. Omani people will mark the Renewed Renaissance and its glorious reign under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Minister Railway of Pakistan Mohammad Hanif Abbasi was chief guest while Minister Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also graced the event with his presence. Other prominent guests included parliamentarians, civil military officials, diplomatic community, businessmen, civil society and media persons.

Minister Hanif Abbasi , in his address, congratulated the goverment and people of Oman and shed light on long-standing brotherly relations that , he said, are getting stronger day by day.

Expressing his best wishes for Oman, the Minister said, Pakistan highly values ​​bilateral cooperation with Oman. He said, Pakistan-Oman relations have great potential to promote trade, investment and people-to-people contacts.

Earlier, the host Ambassador in his welcome address noted, ” H.M Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has affirmed his constant quest to advance Oman’s modern cultural and economic status and his keenness to make Omani citizens as true partners in their country’s comprehensive development, Ambassador has shared.

Ambassador said, “On the auspicious occasion of the National Day of the Sultanate of Oman, I would like to express my pleasure and satisfaction that also gives me the opportunity to celebrate and laud the cordial relations between both brotherly countries Oman and Pakistan.”

H.E mentioned that Oman and Pakistan have deep rooted and remarkable ties, which could and should be developed more in the fields of trade, economy, culture and tourism as there exist great opportunities in these fields.

“The relations between Oman and Pakistan are excellent, close, warm, brotherly, cordial and deep-rooted. These relations are characterized by friendliness, cooperation and common perception over regional and international issues, H.E continued.

Ambassador beleives firmly that there are high potentials for increasing the ties in commercial and economic fields. There are also great chances for both the brotherly countries to enhance and further boost the trade by introducing more programs and projects.

H.E added that there are more opportunities for Pakistanis to invest in Oman and so can the Omanis do here for mutual benefits of economy.

“Furthermore, both Oman and Pakistan are culturally rich countries and both should take mutual steps enhance and exposure of it in an exemplary manner, H.E concluded.

President Zardari in his message said , “Pakistan and Oman share a close and time-honoured relationship, rooted in faith, culture, and a shared history of friendship and goodwill. Our two nations enjoy deep mutual respect and co-operation, which continue to strengthen with every passing year, President continued.

Asif Ali Zardari added, “The vibrant Pakistani community in Oman forms an integral part of Oman’s national economy. I deeply appreciate the care and support extended to them by the Sultanate of Oman under Your Majesty’s leadership.”

Oman Ushers in New Chapter, Celebrating its Glorious National Day This Thursday

President expressed confidence that the bonds of brotherhood and partnership between our countries will grow even stronger in the years ahead, bringing greater benefit to our peoples and contributing to peace and stability in our region.

On 15 Nov, the Foriegn Ministers held a telephonic conversation. Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar   spoke with Oman’s FM, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, conveying warm felicitations ahead of the brotherly Sultanate’s National Day.

The DPM/FM lauded the enduring Pakistan–Oman fraternal ties. The two sides agreed to reschedule the 8th Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting at the earliest mutually convenient date and discussed forthcoming high-level bilateral engagements.

The Sultanate of Oman marks its Glorious National Day, commemorating the Al Busaidi State Foundation Day on 20 November each year. This historic occasion embodies the patriotic spirit of this blessed nation’s people as they advance with renewed determination to build their homeland under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
