The Emergence of the Russia’s Cultural Front Is Evidence of the Inevitable Fascisation of Russian Society?

On November 21, the first meeting of the public movement Russia’s Cultural Front was held in the State Duma. The idea of its creation was supported by a number of politicians and media persons who are distinguished by radical views, in particular, anti-Ukrainian attitudes. In the conditions of actual defeat and losses in the Russian army not seen since 1945, an alternative government is beginning to form in Russia, which is much more radical and is promoting policy of aggressive expansion.

Aleksandr Dugin, Russian political analyst sees himself as an ideologue and ideological founder of this radicalized section and Russian society. It poses a great danger to the entire civilized world, because it involves a total war of destruction between Russia and the West.
The military defeat suffered by the Russian army in Ukraine is followed by a rapid radicalization of Russian society, which blames the whole world for Russia’s failures and problems and begins to persecute those few Russians who have kept a sober assessment of the situation and understand the abyss into which Russia is rolling.
If ultra-nationalists triumph in Russia, it will mean a huge threat to both Ukraine and Europe. In such a case, people who feel a hunger of capture and kill will come to power: they will turn the occupation of territories adjacent to Russia into the main task of foreign policy, and it does not matter how many Russians would have to be killed in this war.
Russia’s nuclear arsenal will pose an even greater threat to the world if it falls into the hands of radicals. Russia has a huge stockpile of nuclear weapons throughout the country, and if it falls into the hands of radicals, the entire civilized world will be at risk.
After the defeat of Russian troops near Kherson, Dugin sharply criticized Putin, urging him to reconsider how the war would going on. The formation of the Cultural Front is aimed at the general mobilization of Russians and waging a total war of destruction.
In the perception of the ideologues of the Cultural Front, the West is to blame for all the failures and historical humiliations of Russia, and must be punished. For Ukraine, the formation of the Cultural Front is a warning signal, because Russian radicals are willing to make any sacrifices to achieve their expansionist goals, and Ukraine has always been a key target for Russian imperialists.

The growth of internal repression in Russia, the radicalization of its society and the perfect formation of the image of the “external enemy” are predicted: these are typical signs of the Nazi state. Russia ignores all conventions and behaves like a terrorist and a murderer. Ukraine needs maximum help with weapons, and Russia must be completely isolated politically and economically – this is the only way to neutralize its threat to the West.
