The torch bearers of Turkey Pakistan Brotherhood went into comma when they came to know that the Turkish drones that were used in Armenia Azerbaijan second Karabakh war , are being provided to India. Not only this but another shock for the advocates(including this scribe) of Turkey, Pakistan, Azerbaijan trilateral alliance was that the Indian Company is partner of 30% in Turkish Company that manufactures the Drones. Unfortunately the disturbing news poured in when whole Pakistan was feeling pride in hosting the leadership of Muslim Ummah , OIC Foreign Ministers Conference Islamabad 19 Dec 2021.
Multirotor mini-UAV model is manufactured by Turkish company Zyrone Dynamics is supposed to be the best drone in the world. These drones have been used by Turkish military in Syria, Libya and in Karabakh War in which Azerbaijan defeated Armenia and liberated her territories from the occupation. We in Pakistan celebrated the victory of Azerbaijan.
Anadolu Agency (AA), the official news agency of Turkey and Daily Sabah, the renown newspaper of Ankara have confirmed the deal in their stories. Turkish company Zyrone Dynamics sold its 30 % to Indian company DCM Shri-Ram Industries for $3.5 Million. The agreement was singed at the 15th International Defense Industry Fair in August.
Daily Sabah reports with reference to AA that Zyrone Dynamics will carry out the first export of the mini multi-rotor UAV platform ZCQM before the end of the year, and will continue to deliver in batches in 2022. The company is expected to deliver nearly 100 vehicles next year. The company will also make demo flights for the defense tenders in India in March 2022, and is making plans to expand to Far East countries via India.
Zyrone Dynamics has completed the international military certification processes for the ZCQM platform, which was tested in different weather conditions such as desert, sandstorm, arctic cold, heavy showers and snowstorms etc., and met the requirements of international military certification (MIL-STD-810G). The ZCQM has increased its flight time by 10 minutes to 80 minutes by breaking its own record by reaching an altitude of 1.2 kilometers (.7 miles) above the ground.
Reports from Indian media reveal that the company will conduct demo flights for defense tenders in India in March 2022 and is also planning to expand to Far East countries. As the weather tests are now accomplished, flight tests in different environments will be undertaken. The mini multi-rotor UAV ZCQM broke its own record by reaching an altitude of 1.2 kilometers above the ground, increasing the time spent in the air by 10 minutes to 80 minutes. UAVs in this category can typically fly to a height of 400 meters.
AA quoted Mr. Murat Kanber, the co-founder of Zyrone Dynamics, as saying, “Both sides’ expectation is the creation of products for civilian use, especially for cargo transportation… Now Zyrone will sell its products to India and its neighbors in the Asian market, after which it also hopes to export drones to Europe and Australia.”
But Rudra Shri-Ram said more than that :“The partnership is more than just an investment. It is about developing a global UAV company for various applications in civilian and military domains.”
CNN also reported on the subject as : “A variable-volume UAV may hover like a rotary-wing UAV while cruising over long distances and at high altitudes like a fixed-wing UAV. In this way, the aircraft can conduct the necessary maneuvers and hover in the air during missions that need limited area and a short range. It can complete tasks that begin in congested locations and end in rural areas without requiring the use of another platform.”
Turkish company may seek clearance from the reaction of Pakistan on the deal by saying that it is only for civilian purpose but Indian violations of agreements is not a new thing for Pakistanis and for the world as well. India will definitely use these drones for military purpose against Pakistan and China especially. Co-Founder of Indian company has himself confirmed it. This will certainly affect relations of Turkey with Pakistan and China.
