ISLAMABAD : Two women from Netherlands and Venezuela confined and raped in Defence area of Lahore by their friend and accomplices for many days and many times on gun , knife point.
The main accused Raza Dar is said to be the close relative of a top official at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and Crypto Currency factor may also be involved in this heinous crime. The name of DPM/FM Ishaq Dar is being taken by some but it is not confirmed.
One woman Stephene Adriana met Raza Dar of Lahore in Singapore in Oct 2025 where they became friends. Another woman Estrid Robinson was also with them. The relationship evolved from friendship into a business association. After losing a substantial sum invested in cryptocurrency, the accused were seeking a refund, but the repayment was not materializing.
Meanwhile, they invited both women to Pakistan under the pretext of a new investment opportunity, arranging for them to meet an investor. The two women arrived in Pakistan on June 29, 2026.
Upon arrival, the women and the accused visited Islamabad before traveling to Lahore. During this time, no significant progress was made regarding the refund, leading to the tragic incident that followed. The prime suspects, Raza and Sikandar, were aided by three other accomplices.
The FIR from Dutch woman Stephene was registered on 29 June 2026 at Defense C Police Station of Lahore. The FIR includes Sections 365-A and 375-A related to kidnapping for ransom and gang rape.The accused abducted the women, allegedly raped them, and demanded a ransom of 1.5 million US dollars.
Stephene has alleged in the FIR that she was assulted sexually one time but I escaped it by screaming and telling the man “I am Virgin”. But Estrid was raped three times by different men.
They were armed with weapons, gun, knife and broken glass.They were very aggressive on us and threatened to sell our body parts if ransom money is not paid.
The accused were unaware that details regarding their vehicle had reached the father of one of the two women; he reported the matter to the police, setting the subsequent proceedings in motion.
An emergency call was made to authorities from Spain by father.Law enforcement used Safe City Authority cameras to locate and safely rescue the women.
According to the latest reports, the accused are to be presented in court on Friday for physical remand.Meanwhile, the women have undergone medical examinations and had their statements recorded under Section 164; they are scheduled to depart for their home on Friday.
The investigation has been assigned to the Gender Crime Cell. Four of the five accused have been arrested while Sikander is still at the run.
