Ukraine is observing decline in COVID-19 cases over the past weeks and Kyiv may soon leave the “Red” zone of restrictions to move to “Orange”. Mayor Vitali Klitschko says that the total number of confirmed cases in the capital reached to 288,063. Country wide number has been noted 3,353,136, recovered 2,796,597. Fatalities are 82,318. The figures has been shared by confirmed official sources.

The decline in pandemic can be estimated on the official reports that more than 11,000 schools that are 84% of total are now open.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired a conference regarding counteracting the spread of pandemic on 21 Nov 2021. Ministry of Health provided the data that showed new cases in the hospitals but decrease in number.

Health Minister Viktor Liashko shared that 24,419 people were hospitalized last week compared with about 32,000 per week during the previous weeks. Moreover, for the first time in the last 14 weeks, the number of deaths related to COVID decreased.

More than 84% of educators in Ukraine have been fully vaccinated according to Minister Education Serhiy Shkarlet.

“As of Nov 22, at least one vaccine dose was given to 96.2% of educators, of whom over 550,000 completed a full course of vaccination (84%). Shkarlet wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Ukraine is providing necessary medicines at regional level and recording high vaccination rates during past 4 weeks in a row. 1, 718,000 people were vaccinated in last one week only.
