The Ukrainian side has announced Russia’s losses in the two-day Russian-Ukrainian war as a result of the Russian occupation. It can be concluded from this statement that the Russian Army has more than 3,500 troops, more than 560 armored vehicles, more than 100 tanks, up to 10 military helicopters, about 20 warplanes of various brands, 1 IL- 76 cargo planes were destroyed by the Ukrainian army.

This shows that, unlike in 2014, the Ukrainian armed forces have become stronger and more formed, and Russia is facing unexpected resistance.

At the same time, yesterday it was decided that NATO will provide assistance to Ukraine in terms of weapons and military equipment. The United States will provide $ 6.4 billion in aid to Ukraine in the short term, including $ 2.9 billion in humanitarian aid and $ 3.5 billion in military aid.

During the Russian-Ukrainian war, some issues arose that cannot be ignored.

After the occupation, Russia realized that the situation was not as it had been before the occupation. In other words, Russia did not think that the Ukrainian army and ordinary citizens would show such resistance. Because in 2014, Russia almost did not face resistance, and even about 30% of the Ukrainian army sided with Russia without resistance.

That is why Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014, as well as the occupation of Donetsk and Luhansk territories and their transfer to the control of the separatists, was not so difficult.

Now the situation is different. Over the past eight years, the Ukrainian army has been significantly strengthened. In addition, Western countries, especially the United States and Britain, have provided the Ukrainian army with a large amount of state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment.

Another important issue here is that Ukrainians are fighting for their homeland.

This trend is considered one of the leading factors in the emergence of resistance against Russia.
