Uzbekistan’s D.P.M Visit to Help Deepen Pakistan’s Engagement with Central Asia

Islamabad;The Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Mr. Elyor Ganiev, will be visiting Islamabad on 27-28 May 2019. Pakistan is hopeful that the  visit of the Deputy Prime Minister will impart further impetus to the multi-dimensional cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan in diverse fields. It will reinforce Pakistan’s bilateral ties with Uzbekistan, contribute to building a closer economic partnership, and enhance possibilities for regional connectivity. A statement from the MOFA Pakistan was released today in this regard.

According to Official Radio Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Deputy Ministers for Investment & Foreign Trade and Transport and other senior officials.

MOFA Pakistan sources has said that Deputy Prime Minister will hold consultations with the Foreign Minister Shah M Qureshi and also meet with several Federal Ministers, Advisers.including Railways, Planning, Development & Reforms, National Food Security & Research, Health, Commerce, and Board of Investment.

The visit will also help deepen Pakistan’s engagement with Central Asia.

Ambassador Uzbekistan to Pakistan Mr. Furqatbek Akhmed Sidiq has been working on enhancing the bilateral cooperation since when he assumed his charge in Islamabad.
