Islamabad; 09 Sep 2020 -A woman was looted and then allegedly raped in front of her children by robbers in Gujarapura area of Punjab’s capital on Wednesday.
A First Information Repot (FIR) of the incident has been registered at Gujarapura police station.
The victim in her statement told that she was coming from Gujranwala to Lahore to meet her relatives when her vehicle was run out of fuel.
“I parked the vehicle on the roadside when two dacoits appeared and they took me to a nearby jungle area after looting my jewellery, cash and registration certificate of the car,” She told.
She claimed that both robbers raped her in front of her children.
Police said that investigation into the case has been launched while raids are being conducted to arrest the suspects.
Furthermore, the police still failed to decide on whether the incident happened in the limits of Motorway police or Lahore Ring Road police.
The victim woman has taken medical tests while the police await the results to confirm the allegations of rape.
This is second rape in dacoity during the current year in this area. The Woman has taken medical test and the Police is waiting for the results to confirm that rape happened or not.
