Kyrgyz Foreign Minister for Coordinating Joint efforts to Prevent Escalation of Tension & Resolve conflicts

Islamabad: The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by H.E. Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic  participated in the 48th session of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, entitled «Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice and Development», which has started today in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The session is chaired by H.E. Mr. Imran Khan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, international organizations and observer countries.

The agenda of the 48th session of the OIC Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs is devoted to the discussion of traditional issues of the Islamic world, support for the Muslim community and its culture in various parts of the world, as well as to the topical problems of modern society in the fight against international terrorism, extremism and islamophobia and security issues.

In his statement, H.E. Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev emphasized the need for the implementation of more active policy in the modern system of international relations with a view to consolidate forces in resolving crises and promoting social, economic and humanitarian programs.

H.E. Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev expressed his concern about the current situation in the separate member countries of the Organization, as well as in Ukraine. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of coordinating joint efforts to prevent the escalation of tension and resolve conflicts by political and diplomatic means.

Within the events, H.E. Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev is also holding bilateral meetings with the heads of the foreign ministries of the member countries of the Organization.
