Global Tourism Investment Forum in Tajikistan ! Sardar Yasir Ilyas Presents Compelling Overview of Pakistan’s Potential

Dushanbe, Tajikistan : 17 September 2025 – Prominent Pakistani business leader, National Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Tourism  Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, was officially invited by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to participate in the prestigious Tourism Investment Forum, held in collaboration with UN Tourism at the National Library of Tajikistan.
The event gathered high-level dignitaries from across the world, including tourism ministers, ambassadors, international investors, and government representatives, to explore global partnerships and investment opportunities in the tourism sector.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan was honored as a keynote speaker, where he presented a compelling overview of Pakistan’s tourism investment landscape, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and government-led initiatives to promote sustainable tourism and economic growth.
His remarks drew significant interest from international stakeholders seeking new and emerging destinations for investment.
During the forum, Sardar Yasir met with H.E. Mr. Hokim Kholiqzoda, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, and discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of tourism, trade, and regional connectivity.
He also held strategic talks with Mr. Sultan Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan, where he proposed initiatives for:
1-Launching student exchange programs between Pakistan and Tajikistan
2-Establishing direct air connectivity, to improve access and promote tourism and commerce
3-Strengthening trade and investment frameworks to unlock economic potential on both sides
Speaking at the event, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan stated:
“This forum marks an important step toward building stronger economic and cultural bridges between Pakistan and Tajikistan. Our shared vision for sustainable tourism and regional connectivity can lead to transformative growth for both nations.”
The Tourism Investment Forum highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration and was seen as a powerful platform to promote economic diplomacy, sustainable development, and regional integration in Central and South Asia.
