Islamabad: February 24, 2026 – Federal Minister for Energy (Power Division), Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, today received Mr. Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, at the Ministry of Energy (Power Division).
The Federal Minister extended a cordial welcome to the Ambassador and conveyed sincere greetings on the auspicious occasion of Ramadan, wishing peace, blessings, and prosperity to the people of both nations.
Mr. Atadjan Movlamov emphasized the deep historical and cultural ties that bind Pakistan and Turkmenistan, noting that these shared bonds constitute a firm foundation for strengthened bilateral cooperation.
The meeting accorded special emphasis to strengthening regional connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asian Countries. Both sides discussed the strategic significance of robust energy infrastructure and cross-border projects in promoting economic integration, energy security, exchange of relevant data, and sustainable development across the region.
Both sides reaffirmed their determination to work closely together to advance energy cooperation and promote greater regional integration for the mutual benefit of Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and the wider region.
