Islamabad, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri-Moghadam has said the positive efforts made by Islamabad to stop war is approaching a critical and sensitive stage.
“Pakistan positive and productive endeavours in Good Will and Good Office to stop the war is approaching a critical, sensitive stage,” Amiri-Moghadam wrote on his X account on Tuesday.
“Stay Tuned for more,” he added.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has formulated its response to an American proposal to end the ongoing aggression against the country and presented it to Pakistan.
The ten-point response roundly rejects the proposal for a ceasefire based on past experiences, and instead requests a complete end to the war, which was imposed on Iran on February 28 amid ongoing nuclear talks.
In the counterproposal, Iran has laid out its demands on how to end the war, including a cessation of hostilities in all fronts across the region, a protocol for the safe passage of transit through the Strait of Hormuz, the issue of reconstruction, and the removal of economic sanctions.
The response comes as Iran gained the upper hand on the battlefield, especially with the downing of several American military aircraft that had illegally entered Iranian territory as part of a “rescue mission” to retrieve a US airman, whose F-15 fighter jet had been shot down on Friday.
US President Donald Trump also appeared to extend his deadline for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz or risk attacks on its power plants and bridges.
He has repeatedly issued such ultimatums and deadlines to Iran throughout the course of the war, only to extend them later after Iran warned of severe retaliation.
The Ambassador called US President Donald Trump’s repeated threats a sign of his desperation and helplessness in the face of the defensive power of the Armed Forces and the steadfastness of the Iranian nation.
