ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan has Conferred Pakistan’s Civil Award “Sitara I Quaid I Azam” to former Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Piotr Opalinski. The Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland H.E Khalid Hussain Memon welcomed Mr. Opalinski at Pakistan Embassy in Warsaw the other day where he presented the award in a modest ceremony.
Mr. Opalinski spent more than a decade serving his country in Islamabad, earlier as Deputy Head of Mission and later as Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary. He played key role in bridging the gaps and taking the relations and cooperation in all fields , especially energy sector to new heights.
He is a very good friend of Pakistan. He can speak Urdu very well. He has studied the poetry of Iqbal, Ghalib and other renown oriental poets.

Pakistan’s Air Force was raised with the support of Polish pilots. Polish companies are working in oil and gas exploration in Pakistan. They provide 20% of the total needs of this country. Bilateral trade has crossed the figure $ 800 million.
