ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Poland , H.E Maciej Pisarski has said that the relations between Pakistan and Poland are based on solid foundations. We are working with Pakistani partners in the development sector, and the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries has 930 million dollars, with the potential to increase to $1 billion.
The Polish Ambassador expressed these views while addressing a meet the press c at the National Press Club, where he was invited by the club’s office bearers. He thanked the National Press Club for inviting him and said it was an honor to speak to journalists.
“30% of Pakistan’s exports go to Europe through Poland. Polish gas company is providing Pakistani gas to Pakistani consumers, and Polish companies are playing their role in addressing Pakistan’s energy crisis. Polish oil and gas company PGInG is working in Sindh, said the Ambassador.

H.E shared, “There are friendly and close relations between Poland and Pakistan, and economic cooperation is the center of our relations. Despite the distance, both countries have economic, political, and public ties.The relations between Pakistan and Poland are based on solid foundations, and both countries enjoy close bonds in all sectors including trade, investments, education, sports and cultural.”
Ambassador said, In social sector, We have established a vocational school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a complete project for women in Hunza, which has been named “Safe Space”.
He clarified that the Polish embassy does not charge any fees for interviews and appointments. Those who demand money are fraudsters, and there is a fake website of the Polish embassy which has my picture on it.
The Polish Ambassador further said that Pakistan is affected by environmental changes, and Polish companies are expert in green technology. Recently, Polish companies showcased their expertise in green technology at an exhibition in Lahore.Ambassador planted a tree in the garden of NPC as the memorial of his visit and expression of dedication to clean and green world.
Pakistan to Construct Memorial of Polish Pilots in Islamabad – Keen to Enhance Cooperation in All Sectors
The most inspiring part of bilateral relations is the establishment of Pakistan Air Force with contribution of Polish pilots. Ambassador shared , “30 Polish pilots and instructors had come to Pakistan to enhance the capacity of the Pakistan Air Force, after independence of Pakistan and one of them had decided to stay in Pakistan with his wife and had been granted Pakistani citizenship.”
On Gaza crisis , the Ambassador said, “We are also providing humanitarian aid in Gaza, and Polish individuals are working as volunteers. Poland strongly believes in the implementation of human rights and follows the UN Charter in this regard, and we are providing humanitarian aid in to victims of crisis in Gaza. Polish individuals are working as volunteers there, and Poland has recognized the resolution for the establishment of an independent state. Palestine has an embassy in Poland.”
H.E also shared the situation at the borders of Poland. He said, “We are passing through a sensitive and tense environment. It is a big and lengthy war on our borders imposed by the Russian Federation. Russian military is killing civilians in Ukraine every day. Poland is working there as well on humanitarian basis.”
At the end of the ceremony, the Polish Ambassador was presented with a shield by the President, Secretary, and Finance Secretary of the National Press Club, while the Polish Ambassador presented gifts to the President, Secretary, and Finance Secretary.
